Hi, I have just finished a book which I think you all would enjoy - boy people especially - it is called "On the Edge : My Story" by Richard Hammond.
I don't know if you have the UK television show Top Gear in the US or not - it is a good car show about testing new cars, comparisons and a lot of humour. Anyway, Richard Hammond crashed a jet propelled car at over 300 mph and the book is partly written by his wife and him about his life, accident and recovery. It is good, makes you laugh and cry. Jeffn I think you would love it. I was especially interested in his treatment and the avoidance of over stimulation and stress to prevent him "crashing" as the ability to recover would be so much more difficult. I think he has been incredibly lucky with his specialists. Lynlee Last edited by Lucy; 01-23-2008 at 09:25 PM. |
