Default It's over!

Well, there's been an interesting development in my story. It turns out there is a congenital predisposition from my father's side to developing acute anxiety disorder following a traumatic event. My dad's had it and so has my brother and now me! All my symptoms can be ascribed to my very high anxiety levels following my traumatic concussion. There is nothing wrong with my brain. My mind, yes, but physically, physiologically, my brain is fine.

Having made this step, I slept perfectly last night for the first time in about 6 weeks. Pretty much all my symptoms are starting to disappear as I calm down and make my peace with myself and reality.

It's by no means over. I have some serious work to do to get myself well but it has been a somewhat enlightening experience as it has exposed the reality of what really matters to me and the vital elements that hold my core together.

I won't be posting here anymore but if you find yourself with a similar symptom set to me and similar emotional reactions, consider the possibility that it is a disorder with predominantly psychological roots.

Whatever PCS is, for me, it's going away.

Full energy to everyone in their recovery!!!!!!

PTSD? This was my doctor's original diagnosis and I'm starting to come round to it.
