Default Fumes

Hi, there was a massive fire down the road from our house just before Christmas - of course I had to wander down and have a look at it - I guess the wind was blowing the wrong way and the smell was bad and I had a massive head ache virtually immediately - was the only one amongst us with it. I then thought about it and realised that the same thing has happened many times - putting petrol in the car - ugh - paint fumes - bad headaches. Paint and varnish smells - ugh!

Does anybody else have this problem and do you know why it happens? Obviously I will try to avoid the situations from now on - but it is like my brain simply can't tolerate it.
