Default Can diving into a pool from end cause concussion?

Hey everyone

Been a very long time since I have posted as I have mostly worked through most of my issues.

I've had some surgery for other things and I have recently got back into swimming. I used to be a good swimmer (competed) when I was younger.

However, 3 days ago, I went for a swim and dove into the pool. Not from any great height just the edge of the pool. I've always known how to dive as I used to race so I didn't think it would be an issue.

However, the last 3 days I have had headaches, fatigue and lightheadedness.

I am not sure if it is a concussion as I have 2 other things that could be attirbuting to this.

1. I had a PE (Blood clot in lungs) 5 months ago and that can have lingering effects

2. I went out with friends Friday and Saturday and was up until 3am both days (I usually sleep around 11pm) and am not as young as I used to be. I didn't drink but each morning I felt like crap.

So I am unsure what is causing this. Could diving into water theoretically give a concussion or not from that kind of height?

After years and years, reading here this really gets on my nerves.....How many posts do we have people asking if they got another concussion? In all honesty, how in the world would we know?

Now as I head into my 17 year with a very bad TBI. I dont do anything.....I dont play football...baseball.....do anything to harm myself....But we have plenty just going out there living their life like nothing has ever happened???

My god, be careful, dont be recluse, dont you understand , one more shot to the head you really could be a mess........I rather not take risks with my life, what little I have Im trying to keep!

I stopped soccer and contact sports but have continued on with life. Hits happen. Most of my head hits did not involve any risk activity.
I do wear a helmet when appropriate but I do not worry about head bumps.

Worry about diving into a pool is a classic DeanBJJ anxiety.

His late 3 am sleep is more of his issue.
