Default problem with young boy eye

My 17 years old friend was playing with hes friends 15 days ago and suddnely he fell and he hit hes head left side.
Now hes right eye is bosseyed and he sees double with hes right eye.
he went to the doctor and the doctor said that he have on hes head pressure on blood-vessel and now he have there clustered blood what have make pressure on optican nerv of hes right eye.
they said taht he have to make surgery to take away clustered blood and after that surgery to rehabilitate optical nerv.

I am really worried about him and wanted to get some answers. I really hope that here is someone qualified to answer on my questions.
Is the surgery dangerous? What kind of surgery will it be... laser surgery or... ?
Maybe there is some medicine to take away the clustered blood??

I am really sorry of my eblish, but still hopeing that you will understand what i mean.
