I know it took me awhile to feel better on the medications. But it also took quite a while to get my blood pressure dropping, because of my gall bladder and some other problems. So I am glad its working. I also know that I felt better, but the blood pressure when it rose would hurt how I felt. So keep that in mind. Donna:grouphug: |
Hi! I just found out that I have hypertension - my blood pressure is all over the place. I noticed that it is worse and I also have skipped beats, etc. after I've taxed my brain. I have moderate TBI, so overtaxing my brain means 1 hr in any social setting, store, anything requiring concentration, etc. I noticed after the traumatic brain injury that all of my vitals have been consistently high - heart rate, blood pressure and even temperature. Are your other vitals abnormally high?

azg,
Welcome to NeuroTalk. Your experience with higher blood pressure and such is very common to PCS. The brain can malfunction in the adrenal system and over-respond to simple stimuli. Have you tried to identify any triggers that cause a rise in BP? Do you try to minimize sensory stimulation? Can you get your BP to settle to your targeted level? |
