Kay

I know it took me awhile to feel better on the medications. But it also
took quite a while to get my blood pressure dropping, because of my
gall bladder and some other problems. So I am glad its working.

I also know that I felt better, but the blood pressure when it rose would
hurt how I felt. So keep that in mind.

Hi! I just found out that I have hypertension - my blood pressure is all over the place. I noticed that it is worse and I also have skipped beats, etc. after I've taxed my brain. I have moderate TBI, so overtaxing my brain means 1 hr in any social setting, store, anything requiring concentration, etc. I noticed after the traumatic brain injury that all of my vitals have been consistently high - heart rate, blood pressure and even temperature. Are your other vitals abnormally high?

She immediately wanted me to go on meds Lisinopril-HCTZ 20-12.5 mg. I looked the meds up and there seems to be a lot of side affects of this med.

Has anyone experienced High Blood pressure AFTER TBI? Does anyone know anything about these meds?

Please let me hear from you if you have any knowledge, advise, insite.

Thanks

azg,

Welcome to NeuroTalk. Your experience with higher blood pressure and such is very common to PCS. The brain can malfunction in the adrenal system and over-respond to simple stimuli.

Have you tried to identify any triggers that cause a rise in BP?

Do you try to minimize sensory stimulation?

Can you get your BP to settle to your targeted level?

Default Divya Mukta Vati for HBP

Hi,

I have HBP more than 10 years, no medicine wa real relief. Then I found very natural solution, it is Divya Mukta Vati.... it saved me, my mother, even my GP tried it and was amazed.

You can buy it cheap, for few $ over internet, it is herbal ayurveda medicne, with no side effects..... It will certenly help you, no matter even your HBP can be related to TBI.

Best wishes.... I am sure it will help
