Also, has anyone ever tried accupunture or a chiropractor? I am grasping at straws, I really don't want to take any more of these strong medications and I don't think I can get surgery. I am trying to find alternatives.
Thanks |

I have used acupuncture a lot. I felt like it kept the TN from escalating. But I needed it every week. When I would miss a week or two when traveling, the TN would escalate. Finally I had to have surgery. I know someone who says she used a combination of massage, acupuncture, Reiki, and cranial sacral therapy and was able to get off all her meds.

Reiki is described in many ways. You can Google it and find out more. It is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation which promotes healing. It is very calming. I'm not sure there is any scientific evidence that it works, but I know a lot of people who think it is very helpful.
