Default Need some serious advice

I had my first tn attack in March 2009. I was having 10-15 attacks a day. The attacks lasted from 5 mins to 30 mins. I had gamma knife surgery in June 2009 and and in that entire month I only had 8 attacks and 4 of them very so minor that I could talk to my son thru out the attack. One month later, I had an auto accident ( rear ended ) and the attacks came back right a way and worse than before. I had MVD this week and the attacks are gone. That is great but I have that tingling, burning, numb/pain really bad. It feels like a million bees are on my face biting me all day and night. So............long story. Do you think the auto accident made the tn worse?
What is this numb/pain stuff on entire right side of face and tongue.

Thank you so much for your help and posting an answer back to me.

I would say most defiantly the accident made t.n. worse.. it aggravated your pre existing condition.... you should be able to get compensated for this ..(if you are not at fault for accident)
I got my t.n. and a.d. from auto accident.
It sounds like your nerve on that side has been aggravated by the accident and needs time to calm down.. if it dose not settle down in a couple (2-3) months..it could be permanent I would most for sure visit a neuro doc and or pain management doctor. a.d. is numb feeling along with tight tugging and pain constant .. a.d. that is when the nerve is snapped or damaged permanently . I have it. a few of us here have it ,
has any of your docs mentioned a.d.. anesthesia dolorosa ?????
I hope the nerve just clams down and your pain lessens.
keep us updated... let us know what neuro or pain doc says .we care and will help any way we can with info support and just being here to listen. your not alone thats for sure.

PEACE

Default Hi

Hi,
I sent you a message a few minutes ago and I can't find where I sent it. I just went to my site and there you are. I really can use your help. Do you have any information that could help me. I need any articles or information that agrees that an accident can cause tn and ad. I am still in a lot of pain. It is getting much worse in the last several weeks. I am seeing a pain specialist next week. The percocet does not touch it. Any help from you would really be appreciated.

I got your message and wrote you back
I will see what I can find .
I will be in touch with you soon, hang in there ..also you should bring up this subject to your doctors..I am sure most will agree any illness one has before accident can be aggravated and made worse by being in an accident.
as for me mine was simple simon I was fit as fiddle before the accident but after .. x-rays show jaw broken on both sides showed the plates and screws and the nerve snapped.. none of those things were there before the trailer truck hit me from behind.
I hope so much we can find a few things that will help you.
Low pain wish to ya Cheryl
PEACE
