Hi, I am new to the forum and have a question or two. I have read back about 5 pages of post and think I have most of the answers. Breakthrough pain I presume is pain that overcomes the meds? The side effects of the meds tapers off eventually (how long)? I am "mostly" pain free except when I eat (gave up on going out to eat) or brush my teeth. I am on 1200 mg of Neurontin and still have pain when I eat. I am going to up it to 1500 mg a day, but really don't like the side effects of being in La La land. It seems that breakout pain is a real problem with everyone and the meds at best only help a little. I don't seem to have it as bad as others and I really feel sorry for them since when I so have the pain it is very painful. Thankyou for all that answer.

Also, using the 'search' feature at the top of the page is a good way to get info on specific meds or conditions......just type in the key words and other posts and discussions will pop up....

Side effects from medications affect people in different ways, but I'm sure you'll find folks here who will be glad to share their experiences and answer some of your questions....
