Good Evening All,
It's Friday night and thought I better get up to date on my posting. I am doing well. Went to the doc today to have all the bandages taken off. The incisions look really good. No infection and neat and clean incision that can hardly be seen. He was so proud. He said" gee, I could be a plastic surgeon too" He now says that he feels the v3 lead will not break. He told me that he had not really made up his mind as to how he was going to position the v3 lead until he was in there. He was very happy with the placement ( all along the jaw line ). I am going to go back in 6 weeks and then I am on my own. The issue with changing the settings is somewhat of a pain in the neck. My remote has to recognize my unit ( the ISP in my chest ) and then I can set it. It makes a lot of beeps and takes some time to change the settings. My recovery has been easy. Just getting a lot of rest; yet of gotten out too. For being just 1 week out, I would have to say that I am doing well.
Hope all is well with all of you. Let us know how everyone's procedure planning is going. A member of TNA who has been following my history has made the decision that he is going to have my doc here in Denver do his surgery. He has facial pain, and AD. He lives in Pittsburg and can't find a doc who will put in 3 leads. Hope it works out for him. Well, take care everyone. Looking forward to hearing from you

Hi Cheryl-

All of this is such GOOD NEWS! To know there is no infection, that the incisions are healing up so as not to be visible, to know your unit is working AND to read that the V# doesn't present a breakage risk, all of this is wonderful!! Now to the task of getting your life back, Huh? Get a bunch of rest. It takes a lot to heal, amazingly. I sang in the worship team yesterday for the first time in years, and Wow, it took the wind right out of my sails, came home and slept 7 1/2 hours.

You take care,
Your bro,
ASAP,
Mark56

Dear Tina and LastNerve I just was jumping in on the excitement bandwagon, and most assuredly, I am sidestepping for Tina's use of the next countdown number! Wow, can you feel the excitement in the air??

This is going to be good,
ASAP,

Thanks sweet friends, I can use all the positive energy and prayers that you can spare. It has been a real bear of a week, severe pain. I went to the ER on Saturday night to get a shot to break the pain, but it lasted only a day and I am back in hell. So let's pray that this thing works! I guess it it is good to have a reminder of how bad it can get, so that I can savor the good when it comes.
Hugs to you all, thank you for the sweet, kind, caring support. I can feel it strongly!
Lily

we have arrived to surgery day LastNerve .
I will be thinking and praying and sending positive thoughts all day.
hope you got my phone message and did take long shower and wash hair got a good night of rest . it may not be a huge surgery like ones you have had before (mvd etc...) but it is a bit more then the trial and you do need to take it easy and let body heal. so as you ready yourself yet again for a surgery know we are all carrying you in our thoughts & praying for all to go smooth through out this procedure and recovery.
Talk to you soon
PEACE
