Hi all,
Thought I would just make a note that this coming up week is me getting ready my house for comfort while I recover from my stimulator surgery. You know those last trips to the grocery store.....have to have enough pop, candy, chips and all. Preparing the couch and tv and remotes all in arms reach. I am sure that my arms and chest will not work real well as the generator will be in my chest. That just seems so weird. The surgery date is Aug 5th. So just checking in. Take care of your selfs and will write soon on the main stimulator site.

Cheryl,
You are almost there - I will be cheering for you!
take it slow and easy...it's sometimes the hardest thing to do, and sometimes just not possible. But try to as much as you can. Wish I could help and run to the store for you. I'm getting a sample of how one feels after the leads come out too, so I am having to listen to my own advice! And why does my NS always have to mangle my hair?!?
Hope you are feeling ok today,
Lily

Hi Lily,
I had the same problem. My leads got all tangled in my hair. I almost tore one lead right out because I thought is was a hair. So, are you in good shape waiting for your approval for your permanent? I hear the permanent will work better than the trial. How long do yo think it will take to get your final approved. It took mine one month. Seemed like forever; but only a week away. I wish you could go to the store for me too. You would get good healthy food. I would buy junk food. Hang in there with you pain. Keep your mind busy on something and the pain does not seem to be as bad. I started a new thread. Kind of a journey and a journal. Take of you my dear
Love

Heart Prayers for upcoming TN implant

Cheryl- What a blessing it was for Cleo and me to actually get to meet you in person the day before yesterday! Imagine talking to folks all over the place here for support and caring only to have one of these brothers and sisters in your own backyard! Wow! We know it was a struggle for you to make the rendesvous with us, but from our perspective it was well worth it. Yep!

Now to the surgery this coming week. We will be there as planned to both pray you into the OR and to meet your rep to see your remote, if only to be able to talk more informed when we speak on the "other side." Pretty exciting isn't it? After my stim Trial, there was not one bit of hesitation on my part, I wanted this device restored to my body on a permanent basis. Hoping and Praying that you will find your permanent experience to be so beneficial as well even though you are filled with statistics on success rates and benefits. You CAN be the one who sets the next level, you know!

It'll be cool to get to meet your son and daughter as well if they are on hand then. Lookin' forward to it!

Hey BMW! I miss hearing from you lately!! Hope all is well with you and look forward to Rae's next party in the chatroom to hear the buzz about PJ, her new foal.

ASAP!

We are in the final count down.. Tomorrow and Wen .. then
Thursday is the Big Day .
I know your having a difficult time with the burning pain and also the medication changes . Your in the very last days of waiting. You are a trooper for sure !
How neat it was to hear You met with Mark and Cleo and that they will try to be there on the big day.
Just stay busy getting things cozy for a few days of recovery and rest. But dont over do it . Take care of you.
Sending prayers.

PEACE

Good Luck Cheryl! You are almost there! I am so excited for you - you have had to wait a long time for this, and you are now in the home stretch. Eat healthy, exercise if you can, and take care of yourself. You will be in my thoughts and prayers on Thursday - I hope that you wake up and can get 'buzzing' right away.
Hugs,
Lily

Default Prayer for surgery

Cheryl,

My prayers will be sent from the north side of Denver on Thursday as you go into your surgery. I will ask that the Lord take over the surgeon's hands during the surgery.

Take care, let go and let God!!

Oh, thank you so much Emelie. Your prayers will be close by. Parker Hospital is a short journey for prayers. The surgery starts at 1pm and should last about 4 hours. Then my family and I ( but I will not remember ) will learn how to use the remote. Something interesting is my doc at our last meeting said that " when " and if, my v3 fails....like breaking or not covering well enough, he will go up the spinal cord like you had done. I think he contacted your doc as I asked him if he knew him. He did so maybe they got together about the procedure. It sure worked for you. What device do you have? Well, anyway, thanks for your prayers. I know that the Lord is in control totally. He know how to do the surgery and He will be guiding the hands of the surgeon. I can see Jesus standing next to Him. Thank God we have Him on our side during these times. Thank you for your note. Talk to you soon
Take care of your self
