Default I'm new here

I was diagnosed with TN just this week. Its the worst pain I have ever had. I have had very little to eat this week because I'm afraid of triggering another attack. Every morning after brushing my teeth, taking morning meds, and drinking coffee I sit and have a good cry. It hurts so bad. The Doctor prescribed Lyrica yesterday. I hope it helps.

sad you have t.n. but glad you found neurotalk.
I hear that med is a good one for many people. i am not on any meds, i have a neuro stimulator implanted for pain. on eating now thats up my alley. try room temp easy chew foods like mash pots, soups applesauce...stuff like that and heck i have times i cant brush my teeth. a trigger for me but not all the time. check out the stickies at the top here, lots of good info and websites.
I hope you have a low pain day . i have too much to do but hope to hear back from you soon. Peace, low pain

Default welcome

I am so sorry for you. I don't have the food trigger problems as many have. I know the pain though. Try and take it easy on yourself. The lyrica is a good drug. i also take it. It does have some side effects so give your body some time to adjust. I am also from Illinois so Go Bears. Lfe will get better. Any ??? just ask , Jen

Default Really bad morning

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I had a really bad morning. All the usual triggers of food and brushing my teeth. I spent most of the morning sitting and crying. I started the Lyrica with a dosage at night for 2 nights, then 2 times a day. I felt awful this morning. I had alot of trouble standing up and just feeling groggy. I had several attacks during the day. I don't know what triggered them. Just pain. I'm glad I found this site. It helps alot.
