Default pain after mvd

I have been experiencing a some very strong and debilitating pain, and I wonder if anyone else has had this problem, or if there's anything I can do about it. I have had 2 MVD's for my trigeminal neuralgia, about a year apart. The first didn't help me at all, but the 2nd seemed to be mostly successful. However, my incision site has remained extremely sensitive. I didn't have any sort of metal plate, like I've read that some people have had. The surgeon simply replaced the portion of skull with a type of surgical adhesive. Anyway, I have had pain radiating from that area and down that side of my neck, and sometimes into my face, and I think it's along the trigeminal nerve. It's not all the time, but like TN, it hits me out of the blue, and is so excruciating, that I can't focus on anything else but the pain. I could describe it as a migraine on the side of my head. It lasts generally anywhere from about 10 minutes to 30 or 40 minutes. I now live in a foreign country where it's very hard to find a physician who I can explain everything I have gone through to, but I feel like these pain episodes are becoming a little more frequent, so I'll probably have to go back. But I'd really like to know if this is something that ever happens to anyone else, and what I should be doing about it.
