Are you still doing well? How many days do you have to stay in Pittsburgh after the surgery? Do they remove the stitches before you leave? Fortunately for me, I live in Pa so I do not have to fly but it is a 5 - 6 hour drive. My first one was at UPMC and they didn't even have a room for me for like 13 hours. That throwing up thing was the pitts ( no pun intended).

Any information you can offer will be well appreciated. Thanks again for posting.
Hi! I was trying to ask this person a question before my surgery as well and never got a reply so I thought i would answer your question from my experience. Dr. Sekula performed my MVD in January. You must stay in the hospital for two days after the surgery. They no longer to stitches but use this glue type of material on your wound. The put a sterile strip over it that you can remove once you get home. I had the most amazing care at AGH and highly recommend the surgery there. I was a patient of Dr. Sekula but since he left I'll be seeing Dr. Janneta now because my pain is starting to come back (not nearly as severe as before surgery.) Let me know if you have any other questions I'm more then willing to answer any I can!
