Default SSDI - disability

Hi Friends,
I just wanted to let you know that I was awarder federal disability at the trial stage this morning. The judge said that it never should have gotten as far as it did , it should have been decided favorably in the application or appeal stage.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know, so that any of you who are trying can have some hope for a good outcome.
Hooray!
Lily

Default yeh!

It was nice to hear good news. Keep up with all they ask of you. Keep track of all letters and correspondence, phone calls, regarding your favorable decision and in the future. I am having trouble with one part of dissability medicaid (different than medicare) this is after 5 years after my time before a judge. I am in the process of going back to the lawyer, who saw my case come before a judge. The systems involving Medicare, Medicaid, and DCF are changing. Just keep track of all paper work etc. Good luck to you and congratulations on getting your help. ginnie

Thank you both for your kind words. I am a filing fiend, from when I used to work, so you can believe that I've kept everything. It really helped to do so. I even used some of the paperwork from the private disability insurance case to argue the federal case, and my judge noted one of them as evidence for approving my case. So you are absolutely right.
It has taken a huge weight off of my shoulders - I feel that I can finally live now, and it feels so validating for them to acknowledge what I already knew - that this condition has rendered me unable to support myself financially, due to physical limitations beyond my control.
Thanks again, to everyone here.
Lily
