so it is mostly the upper part of face not so much you lower jaw mouth lip lower cheek it seems more up higher in the face/head nose eye and upper cheeck. you mentioned both side maybe early stage of bi lat t.n.
I will have to look up the med you mentioned as I am not sure what that is . usual some type of anti convulsive med like neurtion and / or pain med something like that is prescribed. with all meds you need to let it build up in your system before there is any benefits and it works. give yours time to vamp up on the med you mentioned. . I also recommend keeping a pain journal and sharing it with your doctors. it is okay to let certain other know , and BY ALL MEANS IF THE PAIN IS TOO BAD GO TO THE E.R. they can do a nerve block and other things to lessen the pain.
you ask whats the point ..the point is to fight and scream until the doctor hears you, and if the doc dose not listen and help you then you must find another one by law we have the right to a second opinion so take advantage . get a referral by your general doc to see a neuro or a pain specialty doctor. share how the pain makes you feel . there are ways to get this under control and that's the point. for the ones you care about and for yourself.
there is a thread above these
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread27175.html copy it/ print it out and give it to people , and your doctors in case they arent knowledgeable on t.n. and face pain.
read all the thread at the very top lots of info and things to learn. but mostly find a neuro or pain doc that has knowledge of t.n. and face pain .and if it gets to bad go to the e.r..
sending strength and hope the rest of your week is smooth and you have good days.
PEACE
