Hello everyone.

I thought I would introduce myself. I was diagnosed with TN on my right side in July 2010. Wow I have never felt pain like that. My TN was causing me to have severe jolts of electrical pain in my right cheek and in the right side of my mouth. They would come without warning and I would be totally taken over with the pain. The jolts would last for about a minute and then return a couple of minutes later. Sometime I would go a week without one and then sometimes it would start all over the next day. These episodes would sometimes last 3-4 hours. 6 months after being diagnosed with TN, I lost my job. I just couldn't work due to the TN and the medications. After going through the whole course of different medications, I finally found a neurosurgeon that was very knowledgeable about TN. He scheduled me for TN surgery in June 2011. 2 weeks before surgery I started having a different problem with my TN. I could not eat solid food without having an episode. It was like the TN knew we were coming after it and it wanted to get its last licks in. After having the surgery, I am TN free. THANK GOD! I'm finally back to work and life is almost back to normal.

For those of you that have TN, keep your chin up. There is help out there for you.

A welcoming Hello Zatochi .Thanks for sharing with all of us . Good endings are what gives the rest of us hope and it is awesome to have a fellow T.N.er look back and share . I havent had MVD but I know it helps allot of people . I am so glad you are one of them and even more thankful and happy that you are here sharing about MVD . it seems to be helping more people as of late once the MVD becomes an option. May you and your family enjoy a bountiful happy Thanksgiving holiday .

Thank you for the warm welcome. I know what it's like to have this dreadful disease. I had all the emotions at one time. Depression, loneliness, anger etc... It was the worst time of my life so if I can help anyone get through this, I am more than willing.

You and yours have a happy thanksgiving holiday too...
