I'm trying to get a handle on treatments for atypical trigeminal neuralgia. I've been sent on a consult with a neurosurgeon (this after many meds that haven't worked). Now I'm being referred on to a neuro/oncologist for gamma knife surgery.
Does this thing actually work? I've been to primary care + 2 neurologists + neurosurgeon + neuro/oncologist (with a shrink or two along the way). So far, nobody has held out much hope. I figure y'all out there might be able to shoot from the hip a little better. Thanks! |
