Help I can't drink out of a can

I am totally numb on the left side of my face due to 3 brain surgeries. The first , a microvascular decompression that Failed, a surgery at Mayo that tried to correct the first surgery and finally had to sever the trigeminal nerve.I remember having two Doctors and one of them bent down to me and said "Patti, you know you will be numb". I thought that it sounded better than all that pain I was dealing with, I thought. They didn't tell me that I would have pain constantly on that side. The first shower I took was the worst feeling. It felt like half my face was gone with the shower water coming down on me...later when my husband took me out to eat he was going to give me a signal when I had food on my face. I can't drink out of a can or put lipstick on without a mirror. There was 3 different plugs put in my eye to combat dryness.I lost some of my hearing, I had to have a tube put in my ear. Believe me, there is so much more than just saying the words "I
think I'm numb". Believe me, you will know.
