Thumbs up Creating Awareness

I haven't been on here for a while, but I certainly haven't forgotten how important it is to keep TN front and centre. There is an article being published next week in the health section of The CJN in Canada.

I've shared it on Facebook, Twitter and Pintrest. Feel free to do the same. I'm not sure I agree that TN is a genetic disorder, but nevertheless any story in the media is a good story.

Very interesting study. I live just outside of Toronto in Canada, where one of the researchers is located.

I actually do think there is a hereditary link. I have Atypical TN. My mother has suffered from classic TN throughout her whole adult life. She also has MS and there are links between MS and TN. My great-grandmother also had TN, only they didn't know what it was back then.

No one in my family has ATN or TN as far as I know.

But, I had an inexperienced dentist work on my mouth and when things went wrong, it only got worse from there...with more and more inappropriate dental work. Many dentists just don't seem to know, care or ADMIT that this happens and of course if you refuse to address a situation, there is little to no hope of correcting it or PREVENTING it!!!!!

I agree....more awareness and advocacy is needed.

One of the worst experiences in my life and I will likely have to take expensive medicine for the rest of my life...all because I went to the dentist that sad day.
