Default Attacks of head pressure and stiff neck? ATN?

Hi everyone, if you want to see the full post, check out my post on the peripheral neuropathy forum.

I have been tentatively diagnosed with Small Fiber Neuropathy and orofacial pain. Not sure if TN or GN.

Basically, I get these head/ear pressure attacks where I feel like someone pumped me up to a bike pump. My ear starts to ache. The attacks give me "teething" feelings and some jaw pain. For days prior to this, I get a burning mouth and eye/forehead twitching. My tongue feels "weird" and then the whole mouth burns. Then my lips up to my tongue burn. I constantly feel like I have a sore throat on my left side and my tonsils hurt. I feel like I have a left sided cold. Then my neck and shoulders stiffen for DAYS. Literally DAYS. Lots of pressure, swelling feelings and neck muscle spasms. SOmetimes with it I have a headache that like a vice in my forehead region. Other times I get a cramp in my occipital muscles.

Been to four neuros, 2 ENT's, etc. I got the diagnosis of SFN b/c I also have burning in my feet and patchy burning all over my body. It migrates all over. FOr the past nine months, it is has building in the head region.

I know that sometimes neuralgias go hand and hand with SFN and am going to see an orofacial specialist in mid May. Does this sound like atypical TN? My neuro wants to start me on lyrica. Prozac has done nothing and klonopin very little except put me to sleep. ALthough I did try to stop the klonopin and within 2 days had a spasm attack.

Any ideas?

Is your head pain all on one side? Or is it on both? TN is generally only on one side. Even if it is bilateral (I have bilateral ATN) attacks are usually only on one side or the other at a time. Pain can mimic on both sides but are usually different on each.

I have ATN and with it comes ear pain. When I go to a TN website, many mention ear pain. This particular pain is kind of common. My pain is one sided...cam after dental work on that side.
