Question Does this fit with TMD/TMJ

I have had a problem for about 5 months now with jaw clenching. It started at the same time as I started taking Cymbalta for small fiber neuropathy. I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Hypothyroidism. The pain I have with it seems to be affecting my teeth as well as my jawbone. It feels a bit like I'm biting tinfoil. I am seeing an oral surgeon on the NHS and he has put me down to have a jaw x-ray to rule out some kind of erosive arthritis/ RA but thinks in my case that it is in the jaw muscle and the nerves.

I asked him if he thought it could be part of my small fiber neuropathy (idiopathic) but he didn't seem to know really. My jaw x-ray isn't until June and my next appointment isn't until the end of June but he did say that he would like me to see the Max Fac surgeon for advice and gave me an exercise to do.

I've just coming to the end of a bad dose of flu so I think it's probably extra bad just now - only 30mg of codeine with flu plus seems to make any odds on it at all. I am really struggling to eat and have lost my sense of taste and smell too for ages so I'm wondering what on earth is going on. It seems to be in full flare and i'm getting horrible shooting nerve pains from my ears across my jawbone into my teeth.

Any advice on how to reduce the pain naturally would be very gratefully received.

Any advice on how to reduce the pain naturally would be very gratefully received. I am pretty stressed out but it's my poor state of health that is stressing me not the other way round
