Default Mayo Clinic for ATN?

I am hoping to go to the Mayo clinic for Atypical TN. Has anyone with ATN been to any specializing facilities like a University or even facial pain clinic? Thoughts or experiences?

Hi Brad. Yes I have been to Shands in Gainesville but it was not for surgery it was more like a lab rat time for me there. I had my surgery local here in Daytona beach fl. yes it was a pain management specialist . Mayo clinic is a GREAT place to go . for me I had the best experience with seeing the pain management specialist he never gave up trying to help me and when all else failed he went to bat for me and gave me my life back by trying a stimulator (PNS). do not worry you are going to be okay. and I will help with any questions and info if I can . PEACE

My neuro told me the only place he would send me to was John Hopkins for my ATN. I was seriously considering going. However, I started to get relief with the meds he put me on. It took some trial and error and time.
