This is my first post. I was diagnosed 2 yr. ago. Up to recently I have managed my TN by avoiding triggers, but about 10 days ago I had a bad flair up and another one yesterday. I have the feeling that my TN is worsening.
I asked the doctor on call for and got a tegretol prescription and it seemed to help some, but not as much as I had hoped. While searching on the web, I accidentally came across an article which implied that vitamin B12 deficiency may have an effect on my condition. Suddenly I realized that when my PCP doctor first told me my B12 was too low, and that I should begin to build it up, it dawned on me that the first symptoms of TN began to appear at that time. Does anyone here relate to this, or I am just grasping at straws? I did some research, and found that no medical proof exists for this, but I do not want to take any chances. So I will continue with the daily B12 pills. thanks for reading this, |
