Default poem to share

just been writing some stuff thought I would share this here rather then my writing workshop I know someone here will realte. comfort to know one is not alone.

LOSE FACE 8-07

That nerve is severed for good,

like a twig breaking meekly underfoot.

Pain the wave tearing rips,

Electrical lightening whips.

All day that blanket snapped and swelled.

You had to speak as if your lips

Would do anything to leave your face.

If speaking was at all possible…

Your lips would beg just that !

Instead nerves sparked and twitched

in a Static wave of crossed signals

That turned viciously ferocious

By the simplest things many

Hold for granted !

All day that blanket snapped and swelled

You had to speak as if your lips

Would do anything to leave your face.

Thumbs up

Burnt, that is an AWESOME poem!!! You should send it to the national TN association (not that they'd do anything with it) but it's one that all of us trigeminal sufferers can relate to. I have the atypical type, don't have too many of the electric type shooting pains..but in the local chapter of our TN support group, there's many who have gone for WEEKS with constant pain.
Keep up the poetry Burnt, you do great work!!!

thanks most just call me bmw here shorter . anyone is welcome to read it here for free . I write to cope and not for fame or money . I have a neuro stim I was the first in usa to try one . I have anestesia dolorosa which is now classified as phantom pain. i have had this since 1999 and my stim in 2002. I have gone months in hell pain and sever depression until my stim implant. now I am just working on getting better as much as possible. I will always write it is healing and a coping skill. art is great in any form for that type of thing music painting pottery.... do you have anything you like to do????
I gotta go just back from a trip and have busy work to catch up on..... laundry is top o the list. you have a painfree week and many blessings to you and yours.
Peace BMW....Tina

Totally awesome! You have more than a way with words. Maybe a couple dozen ways. Pain free wishes to you!

Default new poem

"DOCS"
Waiting in trepidation
Which docs will I see?
Four are waiting,
but just two for me.
Will they be noble and kind?
Will they have compassion and smarts?
Be well trained, patient and gentle?
Will they put me back on heavy meds?
Or Rx. Me something new
Will they take away the only
Relief I ever knew?
Will they get a hold of me
poke my at face ,tweak with my mouth
put me back in a cage that I have to get out?
Will they help my tremoring jaw?
Gosh I can’t wait just hem and haw!
I hope they power up a battery,
And set me off sweet and free!
I really do not want to go
I hope they …I hope they know.
