Default i have the Flu and my tn is really bad

Hi all,

I came down with the flu on monday 21st of april, i have been to the doctor this morning to get antibiotics, i have also been taking lyrica now for a couple of weeks and it doesn't seem to be doing anything at all the pain is really bad i am finding it hard to get out of bed even before i got the flu, i think i might go back to the Neuro and suggest maybe that i try carbamazepeine instead i tried it a while ago but i was on steroids for my bell's palsy and i dont think the 2 mixed! it made me really dizzy but i think i freaked out the first time i felt that feeling maybe i will be different this time around!

Melina I would help you if I could, but I just wanted to tell you that I feel sorry for what you've been going through.

I've just got over a nasty virus and chest infection myself.

I felt rotten for 2 weeks, and it took 2 courses of antibiotics to get me back to normal.

Melina
I am so sorry to hear of you having the flu. Make sure you at least keep the fluids in you ..drink water or warm tea or soup. maybe try a warm/hot water bottle or cloth gently placed in the area of the monster pain or ice depending on what works for you. I would say to try and find a healing touch practicioner and have a session. that has helped me sooo much. I am going to have a H.T. next week if she can fit me in.
Yes keep talking with your neuro and keep trying all the suggested meds sometimes they will combine two or three meds sometimes that works.
and remeber you have all of us hear and we care and are praying for you. I hope the ugly ol flu leaves ya alone and by tomorrow you are feeling better.
Stay in bed if thats what your body wants today curl up under the blankets and rest.
Peace
BMW
