That used to happen to me in the early days. It makes you think that its your imagination. That went on for five months straight the last time it flared before my last remission. During that time, I made more trips to the dentist and endodontist then I care to remember. Then I got a three month remission before it started again and I started treating with meds. Hang in there, EE

Tn club

Hate to say welcome to the club....You should go to a neurologist...I did the neurontin/tegretol/gabatein/carbatrol/trileptal(spelling doesn't count right)..my neurologist started me out on a low dosage to control my episodes..unfortunately my episodes were daily and my dosage just kept going up and up...so much that it effected my vision/electrolytes..I was a mess..trips to the dentist often...HOPING it was a toothache/almost got funny every time I went to the dentist..praying the exray would show a cavity...long long story I went for the GAMMA KNIFE...since meds no longer were helping me....major trade off..no more pain but I lost the feeling on that entire side of my face...many weird feelings/sensations...hopefully you will have success with the meds..jus be careful and when YOU think something is wrong ..it probably is...doc don't know everything

Still out there, Donald? How's it going? Are you still on the Neurontin? I'm starting on it tonight. This is the third med I will have tried so far, since being diagnosed with TN about a month ago. Had no luck with Tegretol or Trileptal. I've been dealing with TN for about 18 months, but didn't know what it was...thought it was a tooth ache. I have excruciating pain all the time now in the left cheek area, extending into the gums and nose, with a good bit of eye twitching. It feels like someone is jabbing an ice pick in and out of my face. I've only seen my family doctor so far, but have an apptmt with a neurologist on 3/19. Gonna be a long 3 weeks until then, sadly.

Hope you are having success in your battle with TN.
