Default Home Sweet Home

Well, I'm back home after six days in the hospital.

It started on Friday, 01/23, with just a strange little twinge...by Saturday it had become this odd sensation of my teeth having been screwed in too tight. When the tooth sensation hits I know I'm in for the perfect storm!

Saturday evening my husband insisted we go to the E.R. Magically, we arrived during a slow time and were ushered into a room in less than an hour!

God must have known that I had had enough of clueless, thoughtless, uncaring doctors, because He blessed me with Dr. Whitman. Dr. Whitman not only took me seriously, but knew what to do.

Two of Dilaudid and a loading dose of Dilantin later, I could at least stop leaving dental impressions in the bullet I was biting!

When six more of Dilaudid failed to get me down any further than a seven on the pain scale, he decided to admit me.

I finally came home Friday night. There's no place like home!

Thumbs up Always encouraging

Hi Kimberly, good for you. It is so encouraging to read about doctors that really care. There are so many ER doctors that are just the opposite.

Hope you can relax at home for a while - and a long time without another monster attack.

Sending positive thoughts your way,
Rhonda

I'm glad they took good care of you and knew what to do. I doubt that I'd get that sort of help in either of my ER's. They would just try to diagnose me with something new and that thought just keeps me out of there. Take care

Wow, Bless the good Dr. Whitman! If it was the olden days, you could take him a chicken or a goat to show him how much you appreciated him!

Don't you wish there was a scale, where doctors like that could get 2 or 3 times the pay of "some" doctors.
