Hi everyone,

This is JazTSD from BT1. I signed up here with a different name, because when BT1 comes back, I'm going back, but I may also stay and participate here. My tegretol addled brain will be less confused if I keep things separate.

How are y'all? I've been doing perfectly miserable - have developed something that looks a lot like anesthesia dolorosa, but also has some atypical features (primarily, numbness inside my mouth as well as outside, and the numbness/burning appearing a year after the cyberknife). So, lots of pain, meds which only partially work at best, and even on my best days, a miserable heavy, pressury, pulling, burning sort of sensation all around the left side of my jaw, lips, nose, and cheek.

On the upside, things are going better at my job, my cat is doing well, and I am much happier without the husband.

Hi Jan, you're looking good. Sounds like life is on the upswing for you, that's great. This is Nancy/Baywatcher - now Sunflower. I hope you'll stick with us here for a while, it is going to be slow work but worth doing if we are going to rebuild the kind and generous community that the old Braintalk had become. I'm about the same, although I got a big reminder that the old TN is hanging in there - I have a new toolshed and was working hard to get it all stained before the good weather ended, working in the sun with the sweat just pouring into my eyes. Wowee, the tn eye did not like that one bit! Nothing a good old biker bandanna wouldn't cure, but I must be a slow learner, after all these years to have waited until after the zings got me. Oh well, shed's done, fog's rolled in.

Hi Nancy, so good to see you (and the other old timers trickling in). I have to confess - the, "looking good?" It's the old picture from BT1 that I photoshopped, lol. Still me, but fixed the hair and added the background.

Sorry you got zapped. My upswing took a pretty significant downswing two nights ago. I've been having some serious financial problems since leaving my husband 6 months ago - well, my car was repossessed. I'm trying to scrounge enough cash to get it back - they'll hold it for 30 days. In the meantime, the walk to the bus stop is just over a mile. Not bad at all when the weather is nice, like today, but one of my big triggers is cold weather, especially with wind. Aargh. Wish me luck on figuring this out soon - September in Maryland is quite unpredictable.

But the job and the cat are still good, and still don't miss the husband

It's so good to be able to see how some of the original BT1 regulars are doing, I've really missed catching up with everyone, I'm sure the others will start trickling in.
I'm sorry to hear your having problems and hope you manage to get them sorted, my nanna used to say money is the root of all evil. Be nice to have lots of it though wouldn't it, I can do evil

Just wanted to say hello. This is Kim from BT1. I hope everyone is doing well. I went to the TNA conference in Porlando, OR. They really put on a great conference. I met Jean C and Mountain Girl there. It's nice to meet people who know what you're going through or what you have been thru. Katie West was there with me also.
