I don't see any major harm in these...except the herbal products, if they are
not screened for purity well, during manufacture. If you can afford them, they seem pricey, then by all means. Another thing with high antioxidant quality is yerba mate tea. This is twice as potent as green tea. I really like it..it helped me with night vision tremendously. I use the unsmoked version by EcoTeas. It also seemed to help with improving bile flow as well. Vit A retinol does become a problem in high dose continuous use. Over 25,000 u daily, it may lead to pseudotumor cerebri...the first symptoms are headache. Women expecting to become pregnant should also watch retinol consumption, since there are studies linking it to birth defects. But 8000 u for average folks is not that high. If you start with headache, I'd cut back. Many people with poor thyroid function cannot synthesize Vit A retinol from betacarotene, so if one is a hidden low thyroid person, the Vit A in the one product would be actually useful. Formula IV looks pretty nice. I wouldn't count on the magnesium in it, or the potassium as being therapeutic in any way, however.

Thanks all of you-
I used to be "up " on a lot of this but since the RSI/TOS stuff happened - i got focused on that instead. i hope to make time for this again at some point. plus I can't seem to focus on multiple brain things anymore.

Me either, Jo, and it's very difficult for me to deal with.
In fact, I find this all most frightening sometimes. I used to have the memory of an elephant and could do so many things at once, but I can not do it anymore. It is scary. I sometimes wonder if it's normal aging for me or what... oh well, better not worry too much, that makes it all worse. I've been reading lately about what damage excess cortisol can do to certain parts of the brain, and heck, here I have been living on a tightrope in a high state of stress/arousal/panic all of my life, and I mean all of it. I fear I am doomed. |
