Hello,
A few months ago, my Vitamin D level was tested at 19. I ordered the 50,000 iu D3 supplement and began taking one pill every week. For approximately 2 1/2 months, I took this dosage 50,000 iu weekly. I just had my Vitamin D retested and it is now 27. I was kind of surprised that it hadnt gone up higher considering the amounts I was taking. Any thoughts? Ann |

Maybe 2 months just isn't long enough. Are you sure it is D3 and not D2? I know I have a friend taking 50,000 IU's by RX and it's D2.
Do you have malabsorption problems like gluten intolerance? I think I would give it a little more time, it is going up. My Vit D was at 24 and I have been taking D3 for a year now, it's now at 55, was 45 in Dec.

Well you are 1/2 way there.
At another 2 months you might be at 50 or so? Not all tests are perfect either. What does your doctor say? At one time Quest was having trouble with their D testing being inaccurate. If your doctor says it is okay, you could take the 50,000 twice a week and get retested again.
