Default whats difference between d2 & d3?

i was prescribed 50k iu d3 and ordered it online, then i got the doc to phone in a supply till my order arrived. the pharmacy filled it with d2. what's the difference?

There is no RX D3, only D2-- it exists because historically there was only one D treatment decades ago. Now the generic corresponds to that one.

D2 is not active in the body. D3 is the active form.
