But you know, there are people with 500 walking around commonly. I've been told by some nurses, that they can see the fats rise to the top of the test tube when drawing blood.

And healthy kids, taking Accutane (the acne drug) can have readings over 1000+ !!!

Mine vary from 150-170... they used to be 375! But when I started fish oil they went way down.

So you are basically normal, on the high end. The krill oil will help. I wouldn't worry too much about it at this time.
hmmmmmmm i think my last one was 59...

That sounds pretty good (and low) to me! If mine was 500.....I'd be worried! Sometimes I wonder if doctors get a kickback for the meds they convince you to take. He really pushed the prescription med but I was persistent with wanting to take krill and he finally said that was fine to do. Plus, the krill is about $30 per month and the script was about $80!

Lightbulb

The RX med is just fish oil.... Lovaza.

There are many OTC ones for less money.

I am waiting for blood work to come back, since I switched from Fish oil to Krill last spring. If my triglycerides have gone up (with me on a very very low sugar intake,), I'll have to go back on the fish oil. My doctor was interested in the change too.
