Default Opc factor

Hi all.

A friend just excitedly showed me an advertisement in our local paper for this stuff. I told her 'there are no miracles". She said 'but they give it to you free"

I said 'do they ask for your credit card?" She said "no"

I said "I'll look this up on the internet"

Well, I did. and I came across this site

http://www.asseenontvvideo.com/504/OPC-Factor.html

Now this little fizzy concoction has everything in it that would help anyone but I can't find where it is offered for free. Perhaps in the advertisement that she has in her handbag right now.

I'm going there to look at it.

Has anyone tried this. I'm not saying it's a scam. It's offered by Market Research company (If I read the online information properly).

Don't know anything about it.

I'm just trying to learn.

So if anyone has taken this for diabetes, energy, or anything. (I know it has resveratrol, the B-vitamins, etc.). Well, any opinions??

Thanks much

Melody

Over hyped...expensive.... basically the same as grapeseed extract, or any other antioxidant supplement.

Mrs. D.

I've been reading all about Grape Seed Extract. I told my friend what you wrote and because she's diabetic she said "I thought you can't eat grapes if you are diabetic, so how can we eat grape seeds?"

And....with all the benefits of this supplement, I read about a possible side effect. It said "may cause dizziness"

Why on earth would grapeseed extract cause someone to get dizzy?

I figured you just might know the answer to that one.

Thanks much Mrs. D

Hi.

Just went to Puritans to check out Grapeseed extract.

And this stuff has Resveratrol?? For that price?

My goodness, it's affordable.

What do you think?

Thanks, Melody

The grapeseed extracts contain polyphenols which may dilate blood vessels. For the most part, this is a good thing. But some people may react to this action with dizziness or headache (mostly the chronic headache people who are sensitive and have various triggers).

Antioxidants are good for people with inflammatory issues, and some PNers may benefit from them.

There is a whole genre of supplements out there now targeting this action. Many are very expensive, and you can see benefits with less expensive but quality items.

I've used the Puritan's brand for many years, and also the one sold at Costco. We find that grapeseed extract also helps with allergies during allergy season.

Well, I only care about it as far as my arthritis goes. If it can turn back the clock and help my degenerative joint disease, I don't care if it turns me into a 30 year old. That would be a bonus.

But if it helps with arthritis, well, I'd jump up and down (that is if I COULD jump up and down).

Going to get some.

Thanks much, Mrs.D.

What strength do you take?

We typically use 200mg a day. I don't use the resveratrol mixture, just the plain grapeseed extract.

Another inexpensive one at Puritan's is Astaxanthin ... you could get that too, and take one a day.

There are many papers showing up on this product. You might want to try it.

I went to GNC and bought the 30 count of the Nature's Way Grapeseed Extract. Took one today. (you take two right?) They have others which are 300 of the Grapeseed extract. I just wanted to experiment.

I took my sugar an hour after taking this (around 4 p.m.) and it was 124.

So time will tell.

If I see that it helps with diabetes and arthritis, then believe me, I'll get the specials from Puritans.

And thanks very much.

I'm also looking into the other supplement you mentioned.

Just keep in mind, Mel... that this is not a drug. It works with your body to reduce inflammation, and it will be a slow subtle thing. I'd give it a week or two, at least.
