Confused B deficiency and spine

Has anyone with damage to posterior/lateral portions of spinal column been able to heal completely with high dosages of vitamin B? What other vitamins would be helpful to regenerate the nerves?

I don't know whether anyone has healed completely when damage has gone that far. But I do know that a great deal of improvement is possible, over much time (as much as several years of improvement) and with sufficient B12.

One should also make sure she is getting sufficient quantities of the other B vitamins, so a B complex is a good idea. Fish oil would be a good idea as well.

There are many other things that might be needed, but that is an individual thing. Keep reading here and you will likely find information on everything from carnitine to vitamin D and right on through the alphabet.

A ferritin test to see where your iron stores stand would be good, and getting plenty of potassium-rich foods is advisable.

You might also want to consider trying Betaine HCL. Most people who malabsorb B12 lack sufficient stomach acid (and symptoms of low stomach acid can be the same as high--too often acid reducers are given people who actually need more stomach acid).

Best wishes,

rose
