Default How long does it take for Vitamin D to work

Hi

I became vitamin D deficient (again), since I started working in the office and not having time to go to the beach. I'm taking New Chapter Calcium which is 1,000 IU of vitamin D3 and other stuff that enhances absorption. I've been taking it for about a week or so. How long will it take to build up my stores again? I have been experience extreme fatigue and proximal weakness seem to get better but symptoms still wane and wax. Thanks!

Do you know your blood levels for D3?

The general rule is that one needs 1000IU D3 for each 10 units you need to raise.

This may vary from individual to individual, and also among those who are overweight (have more fat than others).

While there is controversy as to what level you should be at,
the research is promoting at least a level of 50.
Lab ranges in US start at 30 as normal (to prevent rickets as a basic minimum).
