Question Just curious! Can I get Answers?

Hi!

I've just recently started making my own hand lotion, and creams, because I started reading up on all different types of herbs. My aim is to make all my lotions, and creams purely natural, if at all possible no vitamins added. I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to mix too many together, or if it would best to make each lotion, or cream with just one herb at a time? I'm only asking because I'm hoping maybe someone here in this community has some insite on herbs, and how they should be used. I want to do this because I know that every herb has a benefit of its own. I hope I can get some feedback on this soon thank you!

This is really a no man's land .... some creams may promote absorption of the herbal product thru the skin.

So research each herb carefully. Also contact a local compounding pharmacy to see if your cream base will transport things into your body. Not all herbs are safe. Choose only herbs from reputable suppliers who test them first before they sell them. Things that come from China can be adulterated with RX drugs... or other nasty substances.

This is a good resource to know which herbs are for what purpose and which are more problematic or not:

There have been instances of lead found in some herbal products.
Gugglipids from India is one I remember clearly.
