Default Vit B-12 Activated?

Hello!

I am wondering if the Vit B12 I have been taking is the activated kind. I am taking Naturemade B-12 2500 mcg, and the bottle says to take with a meal so I have been taking it at breakfast. (I got this at Target)

I am also taking Super B complex also made by Naturemade, and it also says take with a meal.

I don't think (know really) if I am low in vit. B, but the blood work I had done recently came back good. At least the doc or nurse didn't report anything was low.

Just wondering how you know a vit B is activated, -- does it say that on the bottle?

Thanks so much for replying.

Sincerely

[SIZE="1"]What happened. I was in a car accident 2-23-2013, and got a mild concussion from it. I had some time off for brain rest, got somewhat better, but slipped into PCS in March 2013.

Symptoms I had: dizziness, light and sound sensitivity, fatigue, tinitis, occasional headaches and migraines,

Symptoms as of 5--2013: poor sleep, tinitis, some confusion /short term memory blanks, balance. The other symptoms are mostly gone, but flare up if I OVERdo something.

Therapy I had: vestibular

3 months in: I could drive more and for longer distances. I felt like a younger, happier version of myself and I feel so blessed to have this feeling.

9 months in and I am working full time. I do get tired, and some sound and light sensitivity from time to time, but mostly I am over most of my symptoms.
I pray every day and I m praying for your recovery.

Over a year in: I can multi task (limited) and have humor in my life. But when I am tired, I am very tired.

NatureMade has very strange labeling IMO. It is basically the only thing I dislike about them.

1) methylcobalamin should be on the label for activated B12.
I see one NatureMade product that lists in "other ingredients" cyanocobalamin....

2) Don't purchase timed release products for B12... there is only one company making a B12 with a carrier, that works..
All other timed release will not give up the B12 in the short area of the intestine fast enough...for any success. So avoid those.
They are just fancy sounding "tricks" to see a product.

Cyanocobalamin is the synthetic form.
Methylcobalamin is the activated form.
Hydroxocobalamin is partially activated.
s-adenosylcobalmin is active. Also called dibencozide

The new patented improved absorption of cyano is

More expensive and more difficult to find.

If a product does not clearly state what is in it, move on to one that does. That is what I do.
