I can speak about the use of oil of oregano for the prevention of sinus infections and even tx of a possible mild sinus infection.

I was getting terrible sinus infections very frequently. Several a year. Often every six weeks. I started taking a low dose of oil of oregano (tablet form) whenever I had the slightest symptom or was around anyone with a cold. It's been eleven months now and (knock on wood) since I've been doing this, I haven't had any sinus infections. I did have one situation that seemed like one was starting, so I took a little higher dosage and it suddenly stopped. I find this stuff amazing. I have told several of my friends and they too are having amazing results.

I do not know how it would work re dental issues. To me, it is not far fetched that it might be helpful.

One of my doctors is experimenting with it to see if it will stop her recurring bladder infections.

It seems to have well known helping properties in terms of fighting inflammation and bacterial infections especially with reference to upper respiratory / sinus issues.

Again, I went from several sinus infections a year, often every six weeks to ZERO in the last eleven months since taking a low dosage of oil of oregano.

Hi vowel lady, good to read your success story with oil of oregano. I told a bridge friend the other day about OOO since she's been struggling with what she calls a sinus issue for a few weeks now. some people are open to try old remedies and some are not as we know.

This oil is something else in the way of a powerful healer and I'm so happy I finally tried it after hearing about it for many years...guess I never needed it until this dental issue I'm dealing with for many years. I'll use OOO forever if it continues to work as it is.

Wonder if the OP here ever got on OOO as we're not hearing back from the person.

Keep healing and best for the new year to you.

Rather than start a new thread, I'll add to this one:

Here's another money grabbing doctor story.

My neighbor who is 87 and also living with advanced OA and hip replacement issues and a couple falls since hip job was dealing with a rash on her leg near the area where she banged up the shin when she fell a year or so ago.

She finally went to a dermatologist she's known for years, this woman is on a very fixed income but wanted to know what the rash is. The doc didn't mention the specific type it was but she left with a script that would have cost her $145 for a little over an ounce of this drug. So she left a message at the doc's office wanting to know the "specific" type rash. The nurse called back and said "tinea"....tinea is a ringworm fungal issue. Now why didn't he/she say a ringworm. I looked it up online...my friend does not own a computer. So she can't.

Then she asked the nurse is there something else I can use as I can't afford the drug...the nurse said otc Lamicil...now again why didn't they just say get some lamicil? Too inexpensive huh.

I've told my friend to get serious with oil of oregano and that could do the trick. Docs will never tell you Oil of Oregano which has been around 1000's years. She and I both have been using OOO for some dental issues and I'm using it more now for a rash on my ankle which I believe is from ankle support rubbing the ankle. I've been using ankle supports a lot since hip job mess, which messed my knee up more, which messed up my ankle more....it's all connected.

http://tineaversicure.com/anti-funga...atment-part-2/

Oil of Oregano can help so much with infections, fungals, etc etc etc.

The older I get and more I experience, I believe more and more they are so brainwashed with money signs.

I'm still doing good with OOO and the dental issue and now concentrating more on the ankle rash with OOO.

I don't know if it was wrong, I just know it was botched/sloppy as I live with all the complications. So far no infections!!!! There are class action lawsuits going on in the universe on mfgr parts, but try suing a doc for negligence. Believe I'm not alone...I've talked and read other's stories for over 5 yrs.

Once we are on that table and knocked out, anything can go wrong.

So sad that this happened Caroline and you are in pain.

Re oil of oregano results

Well, now it's official.

Two years ago, I had many many sinus infections. I may have had one every six weeks. I probably had nine bad sinus infections that year. I lost track. It seemed as if I was constantly sick.

Then I discovered oil of oregano. I only took it when I had any slight symptom of a cold, sore throat, sniffles, etc. I also took it for a day or two if I was around someone with a cold.

I went ELEVEN months without a sinus infection and wouldn't you know it, the very end of the year...I think it was New Years Eve I had minor sinus infection. Doctor gave me a script for ten days. I'm still unsure if it was an actual infection, as the symptoms were less than before. I had the flu and some sinus issues at the same time, but the doc thought it could be a minor infection. I would NOT recommend doing this, but I only took the script for five days, and took the Oil of Oregano for the remaining five days and it went away.

Bottom line...I was seriously sick with fevers etc. and many many infections without the OO and contrast that with one minor sinus infection the entire year with it.

LOVE LOVE LOVE oil of oregano. As a side note, knock on wood, I haven't had a bladder infection since taking it either! This might be a coincidence or accident...I don't know.

The stuff is wonderful!

Im taking a capsule that has 230 mgs. of the main ingredient in it. I see many of the popular brand name products on Amazon with very good reviews.

I am doing my own thing with this and surprisingly getting VERY good results. I take perhaps one or two capsules a day for a few days depending on my situation.

Remember, I am not taking it for dental issues.

If I am around someone with a cold, I might take one capsules for a day or two.

If I have the sniffles or a sore throat, I might take two capsules for three days.

It has done a superb job preventing sinus infections for me. Knock on wood, but better than my wildest dreams.

One of my doctors is experimenting with it to prevent bladder infections.

Ironically, I haven't gotten a bladder infection either since experiemnting with it to prevent sinus infections (which it has done an excellent job doing).

I'm not sure if the bladder infection improvement is related.

Not sure if it would help with dental issues, but it really wouldn't surprise me as it has done an outstanding job for me preventing sinus infections and I'm not even taking it daily or in large amounts.

As a side note...I have heard from people who take the oil or break the capsule and taking it this way, that it tastes simply awful. I take it in capsule form. Definately would get lots of input if taking it as an oil/liquid.

I'm not taking softgels, if one does take them, limited time only. I bought some OOO from now foods and took them once a day and called the company and they said not to be taken ongoing.

I use OOO Now Foods dropper bottle which is diluted with olive oil and use on this rash issue on my ankle and use some drops in a dental remedy I've made up and sometimes just rub some OOO on the gum area if it kinda flares up....it's strong but I buy diluted product.
