I apologize if this has been asked 50 times already.
According to online sources an appropriate dose of powered turmeric is 1-3 grams. I have been sprinkling around 1/8 t which is 1.2 grams on my salad and today also had some on my (tasty) Bob's Red Mill Scottish Oatmeal and it made my ears ring so I guess it was too much. Dr wants me to take 1/4 standard starting dose of amlodipine because I got reflux tachycardia with more and it isn't quite doing the job so I am trying to find something besides more drugs. I don't know how long the effect will last but today turmeric lowered it from 135/85 to 124/80 which is better than meds do, they tend to drop the diastolic and leave the systolic a little too high. I tried turmeric alone and it wasn't enough but I can feel it work when I also take a little med, the problem is the effect only seems to last around 5 hours. Maybe I should just try the magnesium I see mentioned? I have some cheapo magnesium oxide, is that worthless? thanks judi |

Yes, the oxide is worthless.
Try the magnesium lotion... Morton brand. This lowers my blood pressure nicely. I rub a little bit on my inner wrists and inner arms at night..where the skin is thinnest for best absorption. WalMart, some Walgreen's and online at Amazon. Morton Epsom Lotion, once a day.
