I use the long acting type... it should say on the bottle.
Vit C is rapidly excreted via the kidneys, so the delayed onset type dissolves more slowly and stays in the body a few hours longer. Divide the dose up over the day too... 500mg in the morning and 500mg at supper. It may work for you. There is quite a movement now for the liposomal type, which is nano sized emulsion -- the claims are that it is more effective. But it is more expensive too. This is one example: http://www.swansonvitamins.com/livon...19bRoCfrzw_wcB I use the Timed release by Puritan's. http://www.puritan.com/vitamin-c-025...release-004750
