Default DGL Gut Benefits and More

www.huffingtonpost.com/.../dgl-supplements_b_29...
The Huffington Post
Apr 11, 2013 - One of my all-time favorites is deglycyrrhizinated licorice, or DGL. The reason I love this supplement is that it addresses many health issues, ...

I've been using DGL for probably 3+ yrs...many yrs ago I ended up in ER with stomach ulcer from pharma anti inflammatory drug. SO, very very cautious to keep my gut as healthy as I know how...don't want pharma stomach so called protectors, there are long lists of possible s/e.

DGL does it for me and I tell everyone who wants to hear.

DGL addresses reflux, gerd and heartburn issues too, and my one and only time with heartburn was when preg over 50 yrs ago. So I'm fortunate there. Guess I'm doing something right, maybe the grape seed ex has kept that area of my body working good too.

Actually, when one goes to the link and goes to the "search" adds in DGL supplements more info comes up too, like if one takes aspirin the importance of Vit C for protection with the aspirin.

In case many have missed the DGL info. My daughter is now taking it. I gave her a bottle the other day. I talk it up as often as I can and when others will want to hear about it. On an other health group I just brought it to a fella's attention as he was taking a pharma drug for stomach and talked about he wants to get off a lot of his drugs.

Love DGL. After being put on strong antibiotics for an h pylori infection I did not have I was in terrible distress. At this point I still thought I had h pylori so I treated it with mastic gum and DGL. It worked well.

Bringing this up for those who have missed it...I'm loving a new brand I'm using by Natural Factors. NF produces good quality products.

Looks like the above link has been changed to this:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/julie-...b_2976260.html

I was re-reading the link and Dr. Chen talks about how DGL can also help with fatigue since it addresses adrenals. I still love it, no stomach issues ever and I take it 3 times per day.

I've found info on DGL for crohns patients and I just sent this info to a friend who was hit with crohns about 5 yrs ago...also to a friend with colitis. I believe there are threads here on DGL besides mine.
