Default DHEA decline starts at 20-30 yrs of age

I had no clue about DHEA until I started with Integrative MD's in the 90's...I did work with some conventional hormone replacement after menopause and got off them....not good. I have this info posted on an another section here, but thought it should be here too. Good to have levels checked and we all lose this "hormone" as we age. I'm much older, but I believe the DHEA keeps me more vibrant in my late years. Skin is good, libido is there, but no interest in the opposite gender or any gender.

I'm on another group and get involved to some degree and just read thru some comments on low energy and depression etc. I went into my thyroid story and then Vit D story and just mentioned the DHEA issue which I believe if a person doesn't see integrative/functional MD's...they most likely never know of DHEA decline in our bodies. I didn't know until my first visit to integrative MD in my late 50's. We live in a conventional medicine world.

So I'm bringing this up again as it's not been brought up since June when I posted on it.

I just talked to an old male friend who is 79 and we talk candidly about everything. He is taking grape seed extract now about 8 yrs and continues. Had a cancer issue and now a few yrs in remission and I spent about an hour giving him some of my education on holistic healing. He talked about impotence and knew nothing about DHEA so I tried to educate him and told him I didn't think conventional MD's tested this hormone. He is not on the net so can't do his own research.

Of course I told him to ask for the DHEA test from his MD, failing that to find an integrative MD and get the test, failing that go to the health food store and talk about DHEA with a health consultant. I told him at 78 I still have libido but no interest in any partner for sure. I just know at his late age, his DHEA tank is depleted. He agreed. His MD talks about viagra but I told him about an old bf who died while on clinical trials of viagra. This man has so much trust in conventional medicine which so many do.

I told him about how so many cancer research centers are working with grapeseed ex in their cancer research...He had no idea. I gave him so much info in the hour on the phone.....be well all. C

Just heard my favorite doctor on the radio with his PRP/Stem Cell program and he also does hormone therapy and he got on the DHEA, which he has been taking for many yrs and he's 72, I have been taking it for about 20 yrs and I'm 82 soon. He said he takes 50mg, and I've been taking 25mg for many yrs, daily....backed off a bit from my program as I've been taking it so long. I get levels tested now and then...but I know with aging it declines. And Life Extension is fhe frontrunner in this therapy and I'm positive I mentioned this above.

A reminder, to help with longevity and health, look at this information. I've said a lot here and it's good of course, to get levels tested, but with aging, everyone's declines.

When I clicked on the above link the immediate response was a pop-up saying in effect "I see you are from Australia, can we sell you some stuff?".

My response was to use some four-letter words.

Any entity which apparently exists only to sell people things is very low on my list of credible organisations.

I didn't see any pop ups ..
But I do have Privacy Badger & uBlock Origin add-ons for my Firefox browser..and the pop up blocker built in to FF...

Most browsers should have pop up blocking... maybe check your browser settings to see if the pop up blocker needs to be turned on....

Jo*mar, I got a new one which said in effect "Do you want to stay with Life Extension.com or do you want to go to Life Extension Pacific?"

Caroline, have you read the legal disclaimer at the bottom of your link?

It is "These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease".

If the products sold by Life Extension are not intended to "prevent any disease" what do you think they are intended for?
