Default more b12 and pn

Hi all, I haven't been on this forum for ages because the PN in my foot went away with my mega doses of B12! I started with 1000mcg, then upped to 2000mcg. I went through the improvement/worsening cycles and then had many pain-free months! yea! Until last weekend when I got a sharp stabbing pain in my foot. After a couple of times I decided to increase my B12 once again. I've had a few more instances of the pain. Does this mean my body is still recovering? Or is something flaring? ... and looking for the scratch my head smilie.

I'm so glad you have much improvement. Could be one of at least a few things.

1) Your body could be working on something and adjusting to changed signals (as in repair process)

2) Your body could be sending inappropriate signals due to nerve patterns rearranged during healing

3) Your body could be lacking some other nutrient (calcium, magnesium, other B vitamin, etc?)

4) May be something entirely unrelated

Thanks Rose. I'm supplementing with the other vitamins you mentioned (but it could fall in the etc category ), so I guess we'll wait and see. One thing I've noticed lately is that I'll inadvertantly "chew" my B12 instead of letting it fully dissolve. I wonder if I'm not absorbing as much that way. It is a definite reminder to be thankful for the good things in life - its so easy to take them for granted! Good to "see" you again!

Good to "see" you again too!

You might get a bit less that way, but it shouldn't be a problem.
