Default R-ALA...Hemp Oil

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to mention supplements that are healing my pain from Peripheral neuropathy which I've had for 5 years. In one of neuropathy groups on Facebook, I found out about some supplements that the leader of the group was taking. He was tired of living on narcotics and started investigating a holistic approach to overcoming his neuropathy. He discovered that R-ALA, and hemp oil (legal) taken together the same day was causing less pain. It appears that R-ALA taken over time repairs the myelin sheath around the nerves. He was able to taper off oxycodon, oxytocin and Lyrica by taking these coctail of supplements. Myself, being disgusted of taking pills that no longer worked, decided I had nothing to lose. Now, 3 months later, the nerve pain had improved that I am able to work 7 hours on my feet, and come home with nothing more than a back ache. It works if you work it!!

Thank you for the reminder. I am happy for you that you see improvements.

Many here use lipoic acid. Are you aware that there are THREE forms of this. Most of us here use the new improved more soluble R-lipoic called Stabilized R-lipoic (NaRALA). I use the Doctor's Best brand and many here do too.

The non-stablized R-lipoic is not well absorbed, so the new form allows for lower doses.

Welcome to our forums here. We have a subforum above each page of the Peripheral Neuropathy forum and on it is a long thread about the various supplements that may help people. Everyone is different, but many find their own mixture to minimize their pain from PN.

You can search "lipoic acid" and read many threads about this supplement.
