I worked with Cayenne probably 20 yrs ago or more when my blood pressure seemed to be climbing. As we age our BP climbs anyway as our arteries become stiffer and narrower. Along with cayenne I worked with other BP supplements and then succumbed to BP meds. As I've read once on these meds, it can be forever. I don't want to believe that anymore. So many of the BP meds come with side effects, I know that.
In a doctor's office, we naturally go to the white coat syndrome, unless one has very lower blood pressure. Another issue. I'm headed back on Cayenne as I've been off it for a lot of years and just bought a new supply. Could even help with the pain I deal with. ** Here is another informative link: http://www.3fatchicks.com/8-health-b...ayenne-pepper/ Bottom line, I don't know IF anyone knows what is optimal for anyone. As we age it does go up, what we eat, working with stress, meditation certainly does help and to get into that habit is worth millions. I've been reading how the guidelines have changed over the years. Just today, Dr. Brownstein's blog talks about this. Do your research as always. I'm not going off BP meds but I'd like to EVENTUALLY. Or one of them anyway. Could be the cayenne will help me achieve this. |
