My Mood: My Lab Results for B Vitamins
Link My Lab Results for B Vitamins

Mrs. D,

These are results of my blood work from April of this year. I am so confused as to whether I should continue to take B12 and B6. I did increase B1 Benfotiamine because it is so low.

Could you please tell me if you think I should take supplements for the following vitamins, and if so, what dosage?

I'd take some thiamine. One capsule of benfotiamine should be enough daily.

The B12 is mostly okay. But I would try the methyl form incase your measurement is picking up mostly non-activated methyl.
If you were taking a multivit... and didn't stop it, then some B12 may be part of the result, and not accurate to decide upon.

Doctors don't test E normally, so I would still try some for 2-3 months.

I have started with benfotiamine. What is your opinion on the B6 result? I am starting to take a B complex which contains 5mg of B6 as pyridoxine hydrochloride. I am totally confused with the B6, and don't know if I should be taking it at all.

If you didn't stop your vitamin before testing some of the results could be from that. But you are still in range anyway as it stands now.
