Default IBS Success Story (Kijimea)

A friend just called me with success story as she's dealt with IBS for so much of her life, she is 90. She's tried about everything but found this in the LA Times and then went looking for it. After 2 weeks taking it, she says it's a miracle.

Her issues have been mostly diarrhea, bloating and stomach pains.

Amazon.com: Kijimea™ IBS, Medical Food for the Dietary Management of Irritable Bowel Syndrome 56 capsules: Health & Personal Care

It's so great to hear success stories...and I trust friends.

Kijimea IBS

This "miracle" food grade supp originated in Germany, then to Italy and now it's marketed out of Canada.

Friend reported today she's on her 2nd month and it's working for her IBS. When she ran out of the supp after first month, her issues hit her. She's on low income but she's buying this to help her health and what is left of her life.

Wow! but that's like $1 per capsule! (very expensive!)

I've been taking probiotics 30billion CFU once daily along with a diet overhaul and that has seemed to make tremendous improvement, but not complete remission (is it considered remission?). Anyway, this is an interesting topic, but like I said, that's pricey!

I just talked to my friend and she no longer takes the Kijimea but when she has a diarreha problem goes to this Wafer from Standard Process....Her issues are mostly constipation but goes the other way too. I don't know what is worse for you.

Standard Process - Lactic Acid Yeast™

Now one could call SP and ask they if it's good for both D and C IBS.

I don't believe I have IBS necessarily but have run constipation issues a lot of my life. I work on that to keep regular and some times 2-3 BM's daily...

I also take 30Billion probiotics daily, and just bought a new product that is 25Billion as the one I was getting is no longer available.
