Has anyone tried or heard anything about using Apple Cider Vinegar for health benefits and/or weight loss? What is the science here? I saw this article today (Web MD) and it was interesting. Will try to post a link below:

be the yeast in that apple cider vinegar... Not good for people with yeast
intolerance, etc. This type of vinegar and also wines that are fermented in the bottle, like champagne can set of gout in sensitive people as well. High purine content. Fermented foods like vinegar may require more Thiamine in the diet or as a supplement. B1

The article states that vinegar contains chromium. Chromium lowers blood sugar levels and is used in carbohydrate metabolism. This could be why vinegar is useful in dieting - but with the risks of high acidity (stomach/esophageal irritation), acidification of pH level, and yeast load, it seems like taking a chromium supplement is a better alternative.
